Succeed Management Solutions, LLC Releases Two New Online Trainings on Workplace Violence
(PRWEB) February 19, 2016 -- No workplace is immune to the risk of workplace violence. The Bureau of Labor Statistics recently reported that more than 23,000 serious workplace injuries each year are due to assaults. More than 70 percent of these assaults occurred in healthcare and social service settings (OSHA News Release, 04/02/15). It is crucial for employees to learn how to anticipate, recognize and respond to violent behavior in the workplace.
Succeed Management Solutions has released two new Workplace Violence training courses, Healthcare & Social Services and Coworker Confrontation. The Healthcare & Social Services course focuses on people-intensive industries, their unique risk factors, appropriate engineering and administrative controls, and how to develop an effective Workplace Violence Prevention Program. The Coworker Confrontation course reviews different types of workplace violence, their warning signs, employees’ responsibilities for properly responding to and reporting incidents, the elements of a Workplace Violence Prevention Program, and an employer’s administrative responsibilities.
As with all Succeed courses, this training can be assigned to employees via Training Track™, a software application that is designed to automate all aspects of an employee training program. Training Track™ is one of the available applications in Succeed’s web-based Risk Management Center. The Risk Management Center also contains other OSHA-required programs, training materials, and integrated software solutions.
Organizations can also access these courses via OpenSesame: Workplace Violence: Coworker Confrontations, Workplace Violence: Healthcare & Social Services, coming soon: Workplace Violence: Late-Night Retail.
