NEW YORK, Dec. 20, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Published on December 6, 2021, "The Ten Principles of El Cantare Volume I" contains Ryuho Okawa's first five historic, fervent public lectures during his early 30's. These passionate public lectures changed the lives of many and created the first passionate core members in Japan and served as the foundation of Happy Science. Over the past 35 years Happy Science which Ryuho Okawa founded in October, 1986, has developed from a religious movement in Japan into a vast global utopian movement with over 12 million followers located in over 164 countries (as of November 2021).
It was started as a religious reformation to unite all different religions that have originally come from one God then moved on to bring value changes in politics, economics, education, the arts, literature, and the business world in accordance with God's Truth.
All people desire to be happy, and yet the world is full of unhappy people; why is this?
As Ryuho Okawa explains, without the proper spiritual knowledge, it would be difficult to attain true happiness due to the limited belief that this world is the only place. The propagation of atheism in civilization has only resulted in unhappiness and a loss of hope. In similitude, there exists a vast array of harmful and misleading spiritual activities and movements in the world, so that many people who desire a spiritual and religious path in life experience something incomplete or altogether malevolent.
Chapter 1 is "The Principle of Happiness" aka "The Fourfold Path" of Love, Wisdom, Self-reflection and Progress. Okawa advocates that the practice of this fourfold path is the key to experiencing true sustainable happiness regardless of one's religious background. The happiness he advocates is the happiness which will continue in the next world. Those who ardently practice this fourfold path are consistently and reliably found to be happier than those who do not because happiness is not a goal but a process. Such is one reason that Happy Science, despite being a religious movement, is based in scientific validity.
In Chapter 2, "The Principle of Love" Okawa makes the prediction of his salvation movement which became reality and teaches love has developmental stages in accordance with one's awareness of Truth, starting from "love that gives" which is to give love without expecting anything in return, then to love that nurtures, forgives and so on (for more detail, refer to Ryuho Okawa's "The Laws of the Sun" (2018 IRH Press). This theory of developmental stages of love serves as a bridge to unite Christianity and Buddhism.
According to Okawa, we all make mistakes by believing that love is to be given by others and receiving recognition from others is the source of happiness. This simple Truth needs to be taught as the majority of us suffer due to misunderstanding the true nature of love. Okawa also adds that in order to fully understand love we need faith. Without faith in God, love is limited, and happiness is restricted.
In Chapter 3 "The Principle of the Mind" explains the structure of our mind and how to explore the right mind in order to achieve true happiness.
In Chapter 4 "The Principle of Enlightenment" gives an in-depth knowledge about how to progress soul training and attain enlightenment in this secular world.
In Chapter 5 "The Principle of Progress" Okawa explains the importance of practice of self-reflection and entering the middle way in order to progress our soul.
Human civilization is in an age of confusion; it is impossible for any person to deny this. Secular critical theory, for example, has created a rift in the values of civilization. Humanity has lost sight of the meaning of existence. Ryuho Okawa understood the direction that the world was entering decades ago, and realized the necessity of delivering the Truth. Okawa's teachings are the antidotes to the harmful influences being dispersed throughout the world.
