World of Children Award Recognized as an Official Charity of The San Francisco Marathon
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) April 23, 2014 -- World of Children Award is being recognized as an official charity of The San Francisco Marathon this year. World of Children Award’s team, Changemakers for Children, will be running and raising money to ensure more children around the world have access to vital medical care, warm meals, education, a loving environment, and more. Before race day on July 27, Changemakers for Children plans to raise more than $5,000. 100% of all funds raised will directly support and advance programs for vulnerable children around the world.
Funding will support the work of humanitarian leaders who are feeding and sheltering abandoned babies in Haiti; rescuing girls from brothels in India; providing prosthetic limbs for disabled children in developing countries; advocating for the rights of disabled children in South Africa; and fostering inclusive cheerleading teams in the United States.
