Sir Daniel Winn to Create New Statuettes for AWFF's Snow Leopard Awards, Humanitarian Award, and Red Cross Award
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., April 15, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Sir Daniel Winn, world renowned artist, curator, and owner of the prestigious Winn Slavin Fine Art Gallery in Beverly Hills, has been commissioned by the Asian World Film Festival (AWFF) to design the new statuettes for their Snow Leopard Awards, Humanitarian Award, and Red Cross Award. In addition to sculpting the designs, Sir Daniel Winn will also be presenting the Humanitarian Award to the winner at this year's awards ceremony.
AWFF is one of the most prestigious festivals in the world and is unique in that it predominantly screens films from the Asian Continent which have been submitted to the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences and the Golden Globes for "Best International Feature Film" and "Best Picture - Foreign Language," respectively. During the past six years, the festival has screened over 100 Oscar-submitted films and 70 Golden Globe submissions.
"As a supporter of the Asian World Film Festival and the cinematic art this organization champions, it is an honor to have the opportunity to commission these prestigious awards for the 2021 ceremony," said Sir Daniel Winn. "I have even more gratitude for the fact that it includes the Humanitarian award. My hope is that through the festival we can bring more awareness to Asian talent and global connectivity through the arts."
"As we approach the 7th Edition of the Asian World Film Festival this November 2021, we are thrilled that we have finally found the perfect partner in Sir Daniel Winn, an Artist whose talent has reached the four corners of the World, but most of all a Man of great humanity with a big heart," said Georges Chamchoum, Executive and Program Director of the festival. "Who could possibly be better than Him to create our Snow Leopard Sculptures, which will be awarded to nine individuals (or films) every year, the Red Cross Tiffany Circle Courage to Dream Award and the AWFF Humanitarian Award. I passionately believe that the Spirit of AWFF will guide Sir Daniel's hands to create the ultimate inspirational Trophy!"
This year Sir Daniel Winn opened a second gallery in Beverly Hills on the famed Rodeo Drive. He is also shooting new episodes of his television show "Art Confidential" (which can be viewed on Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire by downloading the A-List TV app) and just published the debut issue of his magazine of the same name.
