WorldRemit Announces iPhone App Following Spectacular Android Launch
London, United Kingdom (PRWEB UK) 21 November 2014 -- WorldRemit announces the launch of its global money transfer App for iPhones.
The free download is available in 50 countries enabling users to send money to more than 110 destinations.
The launch of the WorldRemit App for iOS comes just a few weeks after the company unveiled its App for Android devices.
In the short time since it became available, WorldRemit for Android has been downloaded more than 10,000 times and entered the Top 20 Financial App charts in nine countries - more than any other money transfer service.
WorldRemit’s founder and CEO Ismail Ahmed said: “The success of the Android App in so many countries underlines WorldRemit’s status as the truly global money transfer service.
“The launch of WorldRemit for iPhone is the next step in becoming a mobile-first business. Mobile is where technology, human behavior and financial services are all heading”.
In addition to offering bank deposit and cash pickup options, WorldRemit is also a leader in sending money to mobile devices.
More than half of all WorldRemit transfers to Africa are received on Mobile Money services or as a mobile airtime top-up.
The addition of iOS and Android Apps further enhances WorldRemit’s mobile-to-mobile offering with smartphone users in one part of the world able to transfer instantly to Mobile Money accounts on the other side of the planet.
