WorldWatch Plus Selected to Present at the Southeast's Largest Technology Investment Conference
WorldWatch Plus will be one of 36 rising star technology companies to present at Venture Atlanta 2019, the largest technology investment meeting in the Southeast, to be held October 16-17 in downtown Atlanta.
KENNESAW, Ga., Sept. 17, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- WorldWatch Plus, an AI-based global risk and KYC management platform provider, has been chosen as one of 36 "rising star technology" companies to present on stage at Venture Atlanta 2019, the largest technology investment conference in the Southeast. WorldWatch Plus CEO Chuck Papageorgiou was selected to present from hundreds of applicants to the 12th annual event, to be held October 16-17 in downtown Atlanta. Representatives from more than 200 investor funds are expected among 1,000 entrepreneurs, individual investors, and key executives from across the country.
"Being selected to present at Venture Atlanta is a testament to the dedication of our team to deliver market-disrupting and innovative technologies, and an opportunity to share our story with other entrepreneurs and investors," said Papageorgiou.
WorldWatch Plus will showcase its AI-driven identity and risk screening technology for the highly regulated employment screening, banking, insurance, and cryptocurrency markets. The award-winning platform combines multiple risk screening and know your customer (KYC) solutions into a single, integrated workflow. The company had been founder-funded, but raised $1.9 million earlier this year from angel and VC investors to fund development of its latest AI virtual adjudication agent (AIVAa), which speeds up KYC and risk screening to help customers keep pace with compliance and regulatory obligations.
Venture Atlanta has served as a launching pad for hundreds of companies, connecting them with game-changing capital and opportunities to drive significant growth. Venture Atlanta announced the 2019 lineup yesterday, calling it the largest in terms of both applicant companies and geographic coverage.
"With over one-third of the presenting companies coming from outside Georgia, Venture Atlanta is becoming Venture Southeast," said Paul Iaffaldano, managing partner of BIP Capital and head of the Venture Atlanta selection committee. "After receiving hundreds of applicants – 50 percent more than last year – the 2019 list of top companies includes the best and brightest, representing more than ten states from Texas to Virginia."
During the two-day event, presenting companies engage regional and national investors in the technology landscape. The conference facilitates both funding and collaboration with successful technology executives. More than a dozen technology experts have been slated to speak, plus the 36 presenting companies, and there will be 42 "startup showcase companies" representing some of the most exciting emerging technologies in the Southeast.
"With over $4.3 billion in funding awarded to date, Venture Atlanta has become the authority for recognizing technology innovation across the largest footprint in the Southeast, connecting the region's best and brightest innovators with top-tier investors and other leaders in our technology ecosystem," said Allyson Eman, executive director of Venture Atlanta.
