“The PSR-EW310 and PSR-E373 are great starter keyboards with inviting sounds and effects that provide endless musical enjoyment. They promise to inspire right out of the box, and to grow with the musician as they learn how to make compelling music.” -- Ben Harrison, Yamaha Corporation of America.

Yamaha today introduced the 76-key PSR-EW310 and 61-key PSR-E373, the newest additions to the company’s line of best-selling portable keyboards.

These inspiring instruments, which replace the PSR-EW300 and PSR-E363 respectively, boast expressive capabilities derived from the company’s flagship Genos digital workstation and PSR-SX keyboards, delivering a powerful learning experience to serious beginning pianists.

Eleven Super Articulation Lite Voices (SALite) used in conjunction with the Articulation button provide greater control over and realism to Voices, including String Scratches and Guitar Slide notes. Additionally, upgraded DSP effects let the player add Real Distortion to a guitar voice, or Real Reverb to a piano, to shape, enhance and impart just the right amount of color to the sound.

Other improvements over the previous models include upgraded Wave Samples from the PSR-S670, as well as more “regional” Styles from Vietnam, Indonesia, Africa, America, Europe and Latin America. Finally, the Smart Chord feature allows players of all levels to control the Style engine with a single finger to generate complex chord harmony and sound like a pro.

“The PSR-EW310 and PSR-E373 are great starter keyboards with inviting sounds and effects that provide endless musical enjoyment,” said Ben Harrison, marketing manager, Digital Piano & Portable Keyboard, Yamaha Corporation of America. “They promise to inspire right out of the box, and to grow with the musician as they learn how to make compelling music.”

USB to HOST audio and MIDI connectivity gives players the ability to expand the creative and educational capabilities of their instrument by interfacing with apps on an iOS device or computer. Additionally, on-board lesson functions, including Touch Tutor, give beginners the opportunity to continue learning in between traditional piano lessons.
