Adventure/fantasy author G.S. “George” Eli wants to encourage young Americans to stay indoors during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic by way of reading a book that speaks to their imaginations, as well as by creating an online dialogue that keeps communities connected while governors across the U.S. ask residents to stay home.
“As a father and spiritualist, I was both saddened and concerned to see so many young people going outside while we’re in the middle of a pandemic. I know that they’re frustrated, so I thought of a way that I could encourage young people to stay at home,” said Eli. “Many larger corporations are able to offer free services, but aren’t – yet I’m able to give of myself what I can, and that’s my unreleased book, ‘The Last of the Magi: The Devouring.’”
Young adult adventure/fantasy fans can sign up through Instagram (http://www.instagram.com/lastofthemagi/) or Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/lastofthemagi) to receive a free digital copy of “The Last of the Magi: The Devouring” before its release for pre-sale on April 8th.
“I put together on my social media accounts a list of 12 adventure/fantasy novels that inspired films like ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Game of Thrones’ to help start a stay-at-home reading campaign,” said Eli. “If you’re a fan of any of these novels, DM me through Facebook or Instagram with three things: 1. Your favorite book from the list, 2. Your name and email address and 3. What type of smartphone you use so that I can send you a digital copy of my book, 'The Last of the Magi: The Devouring.'”
