Young Recruit Must Infiltrate Domestic Terrorist Group in new Espionage Novel
TOK, Alaska (PRWEB) December 19, 2018 -- After young college student Brock Cahill secures a summer internship with the Department of Homeland Security, a chance encounter with a gunman on the street set into motion a new path for his life. Jason Shepherd’s debut novel, “The Dark Horse Initiative” (published by Archway Press), tells the story of a young intern as he is recruited into a covert government intelligence program.
Brock receives a mysterious job offer from the government and when he reports to a remote installation to begin training, Brock quickly realizes all is not as it seems. Brock learns he has been recruited into a mysterious program known only as Dark Horse, he is quickly thrust into a brutal selection process for an elite team of operatives that leaves him struggling to recover from a ruthless attack while proving his worth. Looming in the distance is a veiled mission that, if discovered, could permanently alter the balance of power in Washington and threaten the security of all Americans.
Shepherd states that “Nearly two decades after 9/11 our intelligence community is still refusing to share information between its various components. This novel deals with how a President could circumvent the infighting in the intelligence community and make our country safer.”
