"YourMechanic’s on-demand maintenance solutions help to avoid potential costs and minimize unpredictability, and should be a welcome option for fleet management companies and fleet managers in the U.S. and Canada," said Dan Jauernig, former President & COO, Element Fleet Management.

YourMechanic, the industry leading mobile car repair network, today announced that it has strengthened its Canadian service offering with a new Board Member and service technicians in the Toronto area.

Dan Jauernig has joined the YourMechanic Board, bringing decades of experience in automotive and fleet management to YourMechanic’s leadership team. Jauernig has held executive positions at Element Fleet Management Corp, Cars.com, and Classified Ventures. He also serves on the Boards of HomeEquity Bank, a Schedule 1 Canadian Bank, and Torstar Corporation, publisher of the Toronto Star newspaper.

“We are honored to welcome Dan Jauernig to our Board of Directors,” said, Anthony Rodio, CEO, YourMechanic. “Dan offers a combination of deep automotive and senior level business experience that is rare to find, and he will also help us to solidify our presence in the Toronto and fuel our expansion into other areas of Canada.”

This week, YourMechanic has also strengthened its offering in the Toronto area, with the addition of new service technicians. YourMechanic provides a selection of handpicked, community-rated professionals, with an average of more than ten years of experience in auto care. Each mechanic’s profile page lists certifications, years of experience, job skills, and feedback from real customers. Most are master technicians with ASE certifications. All mechanics are extensively screened with background, criminal, and reference checks.    YourMechanic constantly monitors the performance of its mechanics to make sure they provide professional and courteous service, to ensure that members can trust the people who are working on their cars.

“The fleet industry is getting more competitive by the minute, and managers are faced with compounded challenges, including budget constraints, variable maintenance demands, labor shortages, and more,” said Dan Jauernig, former President & COO, Element Fleet Management. “That’s why fleet managers are gravitating toward on-site repair, maintenance and diagnostics, which eliminate the time and cost associated with transporting out-of-commission vehicles. YourMechanic’s on-demand maintenance solutions help to avoid potential costs and minimize unpredictability, and should be a welcome option for fleet management companies and fleet managers in the U.S. and Canada.”

YourMechanic is the global market leader in mobile car repair, with 1.3 million cars on the platform. The company has mechanics in more than 5,000 cities across the U.S. and Canada.
