Earlier versions of Zavanta GOLD already provided robust security features for controlling who could access, view and change information based on logon permissions. It is easy to define user permissions based on roles so that administrators and managers may have access to view, control and track information that can be hidden from users with lower security permissions. However, in large organizations with hundreds of individual logons to manage, Microsoft Active Directory simplifies the task of administering user permissions.

Instead users can simply log in with the same credentials that they use for other applications. In addition, when new users are added in Active Directory, they can automatically inherit the permissions for the group they belong to in Zavanta! ”
