Equipped with the fastest wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi 6 and 5G) available, the ET4x-HC tablets provide support for CBRS which allows providers to set up their own private LTE network in larger campus-style environments, such as temporary pop-up clinics. Bluetooth 5.1 also enables caregivers to detect the location of the ET4x-HC tablets, making it easy to locate staff in the event of an emergency.

The ET4x-HC tablets are also loaded with powerful data capture and communication options. An integrated 2D scan engine helps error-proof patient identification and medication administration. The 13 MP high-resolution camera enables the capture of detailed photos to document wound healing and more. Meanwhile, the front camera supports video calls for telehealth appointments, sessions with at-risk patients who can't have visitors and more. In addition, Zebra's Workforce Connect communication solution is supported on these devices, enabling seamless and secure push-to-talk, text and voice messaging among caregivers.
These tablets also include Zebra Mobility DNA software tools to improve communication and optimize workflows and usability for caregivers. Highlights include Mobility Extensions (Mx) which adds powerful enterprise-class security and manageability features to the standard Android OS and StageNow, allowing IT departments to stage a handful or hundreds of devices in seconds. And with the Zebra Mobility DNA Enterprise License, the ET4x-HC tablets can make use of Zebra Workstation Connect, turning these devices into Android-powered workstations on-demand. Users can drop their tablet into a connect cradle, communicate with peripherals including external monitors, a keyboard and a mouse to set-up workstations on wheels, providing access to a wide range of applications including Citrix Workspace where users can securely access apps, perform heavier data-entry tasks, navigate information-rich, data-sensitive systems, and interact with multiple apps simultaneously.
Additionally, Zebra's built in PowerPrecision battery intelligence allows users to monitor the health of the field-replaceable ET4x-HC battery for uninterrupted multiple-shift support.
