The Organizer is the backpack I wish I had when I was burned out, frustrated and overwhelmed by stress. I needed a solution that would simplify things and make packing for my day effortless.

The Organizer, a stylish functional backpack designed with every user in mind, launched on Kickstarter today to help people organize their lives and calm their minds. Whether packing photography essentials, clothes for a weekend getaway or the tools to conquer the day at work or play, The Organizer is the ultimate everyday carry solution.

Simple, effective organized spaces can contribute to improved mental health. When people can easily find the things they need and use most, it’s one less stressor to contend with. Many bags - purses, backpacks, duffels, etc. - feature one large compartment where items move around and are difficult to find when needed. This can cause unnecessary stress.

The Organizer backpack was created out of frustration with that very issue. The backpack features zippers to access the bag’s contents from the top or side and a Modular Divider System™. The Organizer promotes efficient storage so users can focus on the task at hand, not on finding their stuff.

One look at the extreme popularity of Marie Kondo, and it’s easy to see why people are emphasizing tidiness. In 2010, a study discussed the correlation between an organized home and stress levels finding that when things were tidy, people were generally happier. Every year, countless articles emphasize the importance of organizing nearly every aspect of human life. Organization matters, and there’s no better way to start than with the bag carried daily.

“The Organizer is the backpack I wish I had when I was burned out, frustrated and overwhelmed by stress. I needed a solution that would simplify things and make packing for my day effortless,” said Daniel Ekstam, creator of The Organizer. “With the Modular Divider System, The Organizer keeps everything in its place whether I’m packing for work or play. Because I know where everything is, I’m less stressed and am able to focus my energies on more important things.”

The Organizer uses adjustable dividers with Velcro ends to allow each user to tailor the bag to their storage needs for the day. There’s no one-size solution here. Simply detach and reattach the dividers to securely hold and separate based on the items carried. At 30 liters in size, The Organizer is the ideal size for carrying everything needed for work, play or travel. An Activity Hook System™ makes toting accessories easier than ever. Simply clip those bulkier items to the exterior of the bag via detachable hooks.

Everyday essentials are kept secure inside The Organizer, too. With specialized compartments for laptops, water bottles, and keys, everything has a place that’s easy to access. Zippered mesh pockets also provide ample storage for smaller items that tend to fall into the bottom of large, single-compartment bags. An RFID secure travel pocket also keeps sensitive cards, passports, bus tickets and more away from devices that can steal personal information.

Made from 1200D polyester fabric with water repellent coating, The Organizer was tested in Nordic weather conditions and found to keep belongings dry in rainy and snowy conditions. The Organizer is available to pre-order at a discount by visiting the Kickstarter campaign at pr.go2.fund/organizer.

Daniel Ekstam was always on the go. Traveling 300 days every year, his life was literally carried in the backpack on his shoulders. After noticing stress from the constant cycle of packing, traveling and packing again, he realized reimagining his old disorganized bag could be part of the solution to the burnout he was experiencing. By tweaking an old photography backpack to suit his needs, the idea for ZEEKSACK was born. Daniel then teamed up with David Brudö, mental health specialist and founder of Remente, to validate and bring the backpack to life. His expertise validated the way ZEEKSACK uses clever design and smart functionality to help people organize their lives and calm their minds. By creating bags and accessories that take the guesswork out of organization and seamlessly integrate into any lifestyle, ZEEKSACK is designed to help people maintain their mental health and wellbeing.
