New rideshare app launches 100 percent commission-free model for drivers and cheapest rides in San Francisco

Smarter, safer, greener and cheaper are the four pillars of ZIRO, a new concept ridesharing service with a difference that becomes available in San Francisco in late 2019. A family-like company culture at ZIRO is focused on caring for drivers by not charging fees, hence the inspiration for the name ZIRO. The company is currently recruiting drivers and beta testing its app.

Advanced safety features such as telematics technology to monitor driver performance, artificial intelligence-powered voice activated commands and route tracking systems give users peace of mind while traveling with ZIRO. The app offers groundbreaking features such as Augmented Reality (AR) maps and live streaming dashboard video, making it easier for riders and drivers to find each other.

In addition, select partner vehicles will have an onboard entertainment system to augment the passenger experience.

Passengers will also enjoy the convenience of choosing drivers based on their public profile, a feature that is anticipated to be particularly appealing to female riders.

“We are redefining the way people use ridesharing today. The features of our app were developed to increase convenience, enhance flexibility, prioritize safety and offer a seamless experience to both our drivers and passengers,” said Jai Rangwani, Co-founder and Managing Director at ZIRO.

Riding ZIRO will also be environmentally friendly, as the company is committed to offsetting the carbon emissions of each trip by buying an equivalent amount of carbon credits. In a partnership with WeForest, ZIRO will plant one tree every time a passenger completes five trips.

Following a San Francisco launch in 2019, ZIRO will expand to additional Bay Area cities. Drivers can sign up immediately by downloading the ZIRO.Captain.app. Riders can become early adopters by downloading the ZIRO.Passenger.app.
