ZIVELO Strengthens Its Tree Planting Initiative
Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) October 24, 2013 -- ZIVELO, a leader in self-service kiosk and digital signage manufacturing, continues to champion innovative green initiatives within the industry.
ZIVELO works closely with Trees for the Future, a nonprofit organization that has planted over 65 million trees worldwide since 1989. ZIVELO has made a commitment to plant at least three trees for every kiosk sold to help in offsetting their carbon footprint.
“In our affluent world, people tend to take trees for granted. But in countries like Haiti and Kenya, the land is up to 98% deforested. Trees are a desperately needed resource. They provide food, fuel, and building material for houses,” says Eugene Sofer, Executive Director at Trees for the Future.
So far this year, over 10,800 trees were planted by ZIVELO in impoverished nations to aid in the reversal of deforestation. ZIVELO is also working with local municipalities to plant trees throughout the city of Marion, Indiana to give back to the community that has given them their roots.
“Being environmentally conscious and investing in philanthropy are core tenants of our business philosophy. As the company continues to experience elevated levels of success, it is important that we expand our social responsibility initiatives,” says Ziver Birg, CEO of ZIVELO.
ZIVELO has meticulously re-engineered their entire manufacturing process to greatly reduce their environmental impact. Including, but not limited to:
• Crafting all kiosk enclosures from recyclable aircraft grade aluminum.
• Utilizing every aspect of post-consumer material on new projects.
• Using EPA approved, VOC free reusable electronically bonded powder coat finishes.
• Providing easy access to multiple recycling containers throughout their facilities.
• Offering client kiosk trade incentives for older hardware. These kiosks are then donated to 3rd World countries.
ZIVELO has been recognized for their efforts as a green business by the software company, Advanced Solutions, who accepted them into the Autodesk Clean Tech Partner Program. This program supports the environmental advancements of technology pioneers by providing thousands of dollars worth of digital prototyping software to companies through their Clean Tech grants.
“We’re constantly developing processes to reduce manufacturing waste and offset our carbon foot print wherever possible,” says Birg, “It is our hope that other companies within the self-service technology industry will see the difference that we can make and join us in our efforts to make this world a greener place.”
