The scope of the Service Organizational Control Level 2 (SOC 2) Type 1 examination performed by A-LIGN ASSURANCE included the 2017 Trust Services Criteria and essential elements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act Security Rule of 2003 ("HIPAA") and the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act ("HITECH"), enacted as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
