Zype, the infrastructure for digital video, today announced George Cagle as the new Vice President of Professional Services. With 20 years of experience in senior professional services and program management roles, Cagle will lead all aspects of Zype’s services sales, business development, operations, and more.

As part of his role at Zype, Cagle will lead Zype's Professional Services (ZPS) team, optimizing customer engagements for the highest quality of delivery and customer satisfaction. Prior to Zype, Cagle held a leadership role at Accela, where he was Senior Director, Delivery. There, he oversaw the professional services business for Accela’s Southeast region of the United States, helping major municipalities effectively migrate legacy technology and paper to modern, SaaS multi-device applications. Previous to his time at Accela, Cagle spent over six years with Ooyala, a pioneering provider of OTT, content production, and digital video distribution solutions. As the Director of Professional Services, he led the U.S. East region professional services’ profit and loss organization and oversaw the company’s video asset ingestion, multi-channel video distribution, and subscription streaming services to major broad and video content providers. Adding to his years of extensive experience in the professional services, Cagle held management roles at companies including Adobe Systems, Microsoft, and Oracle.

“We are very grateful and excited to have George on board, with his impressive experience in video streaming and professional services at world-class organizations,” said Ed Laczynski, CEO of Zype. “Enterprises across nearly every industry are integrating video streaming into their products and services to increase engagement and reach. We are focused on providing our customers with the most connected video streaming APIs and services to allow them to innovate, and our professional services capability is a cornerstone of helping our customers integrate, build, and manage their video operations.”

Cagle’s addition to Zype’s leadership team comes during a period of sustained company growth, as well as an accelerated evolution of the digital video industry. As expectations and demand for video increases, Zype helps enterprise organizations solve mission critical video challenges. With the most connectors available, Zype enables video connectivity for enterprises on a massive scale. Today, Zype’s customers are streaming to over 60 million households and making over 7 billion API requests per month.

"Zype is committed to facilitating the ability of media organizations to deliver video and connect with their customers using the best platform in the market,” said Cagle. “I am excited to join Zype to lead a professional services team that delivers on that commitment."
