101 Mobility of Long Island’s “Project Lifesaver” Donation Brings Peace of Mind to the Matheis Family
Farmingdale, NY (PRWEB) February 24, 2015 -- Today, John Michielini, owner of 101 Mobility of Long Island, is able to see a recent donation put to good use. Over the summer, John donated two Project Lifesaver tracking bracelets to the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department.
The unique Project Lifesaver bracelets emit an individualized tracking signal when activated by a call from a parent or caregiver. These small wrist or ankle devices have been instrumental in finding wandering children or elders. The law enforcement led recovery process is typically 95% faster than traditional search and recovery operations. “I am grateful the Suffolk County Sherriff’s Department was able to place the bracelet with a well deserving family,” said John.
The Matheis Family of Lindenhurst has a six-year-old son Kyle who has been diagnosed with autism. They recently received his tracking bracelet from local law enforcement. “I cannot express my gratitude enough for this amazing gift. Even with the three extra door locks and ear piercing alarm, Kyle has still managed to wander from our home twice,” said Kyle’s mother Meredith. “I truly hope that we will never need to call and report him missing, but if we do you will have played an instrumental part of possibly saving our son’s life.”
John is happy to have been a partial help to this great effort in the Suffolk County Community. Project Lifesaver can be found throughout the US. To learn more about which communities are a part of Project Lifesaver, please visit: http://www.projectlifesaver.org/where-we-are/
