101 Mobility of North Chicago Partners with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for an Uplifting Project
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) December 23, 2014 -- 101 Mobility of North Chicago has been granting wishes! The local mobility company with Nick & Elizabeth Lopez at the helm recently coordinated and installed a home patient lift system for the Benavides family’s 4-year old twin boys.
Through the Benavides’ own research, recommendation from their physician, and outreach to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, they came across local mobility and accessibility equipment provider 101 Mobility of North Chicago. “They were really professional and in-tune to our specific needs and requirements,” said Homer Benavides, father of the two boys. “Nick and his team had a very professional work ethic and did the job when they said were going to do it.”
When Nick heard about the project, he signed on without hesitation and worked with patient lift manufacturer Hill-Rom to get the Liko lift donated and custom fit to the family’s home. Installation day brought a lot of excitement to the Benavides’ home. It took three 101 Mobility technicians three days to complete the intricate overhead patient lift installation. The twin’s parents and caregiver will now be able to lift the boys out of bed and gently transport them to adjoining rooms with this intuitive ceiling support system.
“We had a great time doing this, it was a pleasure working alongside the Make-A-Wish Foundation,” said Nick. “Hill-Rom really brought everything together on our end and we had a blast during the install. I’d like to think the family can now make full use of their new home.” Nick and Elizabeth Lopez and their entire staff was overjoyed to be part of the Benavides’ new adventure and hopes to work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation again in the future.
