102.9 KBLX Radio and Pathways Hospice Honor Oakland Faith Leaders
Oakland, California (PRWEB) August 15, 2014 -- Pathways Home Health, & Hospice and 102.9 KBLX Radio hosted an appreciation luncheon for Oakland Faith Leaders earlier this month. The first of several luncheons to be held throughout the year, this particular luncheon focused on the critical connection and care faith leaders bring to Oakland. It also provided an opportunity for attendees to be introduced to hospice and other health care services available to their respective congregations and communities.
Well-known radio personality, Nikki Thomas, presided over the program which included a presentation about hospice by Oakland-based Pathways staff, Dr. Charleston Cone, Medical Director; Lisa Price, RN, Director of Patient Care Services; and Kate Andrews, RN, Community Relations Liaison Nurse. Oakland City Councilperson Lynette Gibson McElhaney also spoke at this event about community programs including jobs development, business expansion, safety and service.

"There is a multitude of services available in Oakland, such as hospice, but frequently individuals don’t know how to access these services. This appreciation luncheon was an effort to educate community leaders so they can provide knowledgeable guidance to their congregation and families.”
