15 Attorneys Elected to Holland & Hart’s Partnership
Denver, CO (PRWEB) January 05, 2016 -- Holland & Hart LLP today announced that 15 attorneys have been elected into the firm’s partnership, effective Jan. 1. The new partners represent several practice areas and work from eight of the firm’s 15 offices across the Mountain West and in Washington, D.C.

The new partners are as follows:
Dean Bennett practices in the Boise office as a member of the Labor & Employment group. Bennett is a trial attorney who efficiently resolves complex contract and business disputes involving partnerships, limited liability companies, complex insurance matters, and trade secret issues. He also regularly represents employers in court and before state and federal agencies to resolve claims of discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful discharge.
Leslie Boyle practices in the Denver office as a member of the firm’s Corporate group. Boyle advises clients in a wide range of industries in connection with their commercial transactions and the development, financing, and operation of large infrastructure projects. Her clients range from national oil and gas companies, mining companies, and independent power producers to apparel retailers and equipment manufacturers.
Mark Burghardt practices in the Salt Lake City office as a member of the firm’s Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources group. Burghardt counsels clients on complex title examination, due diligence, real estate litigation, surface access, and federal and state permitting and leasing of energy facilities, wellpads, pipelines, and roads. He represents clients on oil and gas, mining, oil shale, solar, and wind projects.
Charles Cotter practices in the Boulder office as a member of the Corporate group. Cotter advises companies at all stages of growth, from start-ups to publicly listed companies, helping them successfully raise capital, complete acquisitions and divestitures, and comply with regulatory requirements. He works with clients across many industries, particularly food and beverage industry companies, and he co-chairs the firm’s Food and Beverage group.
Alison Johnson practices in the Boise office as a member of the firm’s Corporate practice group. Johnson offers valuable counsel to start-ups and established companies on a broad range of corporate and securities transactions, from daily operational concerns to complex transactional matters. She also guides buyers and sellers in both public and private companies and venture capital firms through the challenges involved in financings, acquisitions, mergers, and sales of stock and assets.
Derek Kearl practices in the Salt Lake City office as a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation group. Kearl represents financial institutions, accounting firms, and other business clients in a full range of business disputes, including securities litigation, lender and auditor liability defense, and breach of contract actions. He also assists clients in navigating government investigations and enforcement actions before the SEC and FTC. Kearl has acted as independent counsel to corporate boards in conducting internal investigations examining allegations of corporate mismanagement, self-dealing, and breach of fiduciary duty.
Michael Monson practices in the Billings office as a member of the Real Estate, Construction, Finance, and Bankruptcy group. Monson assists clients to identify, understand, and solve their corporate, real estate, and tax and estate planning issues. Drawing on his experience as a Certified Public Accountant, Monson provides high net worth individuals and small, family-owned businesses with the sophisticated advice they need to achieve their tax, estate planning, and trust administration goals.
Trey Overdyke practices in the Jackson Hole office as a member of the firm’s Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources group. Overdyke focuses on all aspects of workplace safety and emergency response, as well as civil litigation with an emphasis on energy development and operations. He represents clients in state and federal enforcement actions involving the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Mine Safety and Health Administration, U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board, Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, and other government agencies.
Rebecca Schroer practices in the Denver office as a member of the Tax group. Schroer effectively assists clients with trust and estate litigation and administration, as well as estate planning. As a member of the Fiduciary Solutions subgroup, Schroer represents corporate fiduciaries, individual fiduciaries, heirs, beneficiaries, and creditors in the resolution of probate and trust-related litigation.
Jenifer Scoggin practices in the Cheyenne office as a member of the firm’s Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources group. Scoggin counsels clients in a variety of industries including wind development, oil and gas, coal, trona and other mining, water rights, industrial siting, environmental compliance and permitting, state and local government issues, and real estate matters. She litigates in state and federal court and works with many Wyoming administrative agencies on water rights and other environmental issues. She also assists in matters concerning land use and construction litigation.
Larry Tronco practices in the Boulder office as a member of the Intellectual Property group. Tronco focuses on the acquisition, maintenance, and enforcement of trademark rights on a global basis. His practice includes U.S. and international matters involving search and clearance of trademarks, prosecution of trademark applications, licensing, due diligence, client counseling, enforcement in connection with trademark, unfair competition, anti-counterfeiting, dilution, trade dress and copyright infringement, international trademark litigation, and opposition proceedings.
Eric Vehlow practices in the Boise office as a member of the Intellectual Property group. As outside counsel for one of the nation’s largest cable operators, Vehlow efficiently handles transactions between telecommunications companies and residential and commercial property owners, including navigating the complex FCC rules and state mandatory access laws applicable to those transactions. He also represents clients in business and commercial matters, including product purchase and license agreements, distribution and resale agreements, maintenance and support services agreements, and product supply and manufacturing agreements.
Joanna Vilos practices in the Cheyenne office as a member of the Labor & Employment group. Vilos’ practice focuses on employment counseling and litigation for employers of all sizes in a variety of industries. She advises employers regarding personnel policies and procedures, employee discipline and termination, and compliance with state and federal employment laws. She also represents clients in matters pending before the Equal Opportunity Commission, the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, and state and federal courts.
Joe Went practices in the Las Vegas office as a member of the Real Estate, Construction, Finance, and Bankruptcy group. Went advocates for his clients in the areas of commercial litigation and bankruptcy. As a commercial litigator, Went protects the interests of banks and other secured lenders in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts. He has represented clients in jury trials, bench trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
Brian Wonderlich practices in the Boise office as a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation group. Wonderlich represents businesses across many industries in complex commercial litigation and arbitration, and in matters before or against government agencies. Wonderlich has substantial experience litigating cases in state and federal courts, and before administrative tribunals, including matters involving complex contract interpretation, securities fraud claims, construction disputes, lender liability claims, government permitting and contract procurement, and creditors' rights.
