18 Hours for 18 Years: Spare Key Celebrates Anniversary With 18 Hour Non-stop ElliptiGO Ride
Minneapolis, Minnesota (PRWEB) September 12, 2015 -- Since 1997 Spare Key has served nearly 3,000 critically ill and seriously injured children in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin by providing almost $3 million in housing grants on behalf of their children.
As it nears its 20th anniversary Spare Key Executive Director Erich Mische praised the organization’s founders, donors, Board of Directors and staff for its continued ability to help children and their families “Bounce and not Break.”
“Our mission of providing families both financial stability and precious time with their sick or injured child has proven itself to be one that is as important today as it was when Robb and Patsy Keech founded Spare Key in 1997,” said Mische. “This ride is just one other way to remind people of the journey we’ve had so far, and how much further we have to go to continue to serve as many families as possible.”
Mische will begin his 18 hour non-stop journey at 12:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 15th at the corner of Summit Avenue and Mississippi River Boulevard in St. Paul. His course will be a combination of the Mississippi River East and West bike trails, as well as the Midtown Greenway, throughout the ride.
