1 Day Post Altercation on WE TV's L.A. Hair, star Lisa Buford reveals behind the scenes fight details on cast mate Naja Rickette with Maria Menounos' Black Hollywood Live
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) July 28, 2014 -- Celebrity barber, philanthropist, and reality TV star Lisa Buford (known as Lisa B) discusses her fight with cast mate Naja Rickette, an altercation that happened during Lisa B’s birthday celebrations, during an interview on E!’s Maria Menounos' Black Hollywood Live the 1st online network targeting African Americans. Just one day after the episode in which they fought aired, Lisa B says, “I’m not happy with what happened. But I'm not mad. It just is what it is. So, I don't want to glorify it but I am gonna tell my truth, because at the end of the day I felt very disrespected the whole time I was on that show by a lot of different things.”
While further discussing the fight, Lisa B says if Naja would have owned up to her comments, things may have ended differently. “You never can say what you're going to do, but I'll say this, as you watch the footage and she says, 'I was trying to apologize to her and set things straight', that's where the fake stuff started. If she was really trying to apologize and set things straight she would have been like, 'You know what? I did say that in the beginning when you first got here and I don't have a problem with you and I apologize '...because that's what a real woman does. You're accountable for yourself.”
“I'm accountable for my actions. I don't blame Kim. I don't blame production. I don't blame anybody. At the end of the day I'm responsible for my actions. I shouldn't have put my hands on her. I should have left, but things happen” she later added.
While Lisa B revealed that she doesn’t consider any of her L.A. Hair cast members to be “friends”, she revealed that she is cordial with two of the show's stylists. “I still talk to Chyna. I still talk to Angela here and there. We're not friends but we're friendly. It takes a lot for me to call someone a friend”
Aside from “working” as a barber in the Kimble Hair Studio, Lisa B is also working on reopening her all female barber shop, Cats and Dogs and her non-profit organization, the Reach Back Foundation which will hold its first event in Los Angeles on August 10th. “We're going to help everybody. This program that we're doing on the tenth we're going to give backpacks to the kids. We're going to have artists come out. Cats and Dogs, my salon, we're going to do haircuts and 313 Spa and Salon on LaBrea is going to go the girl's hair and manicures. We're going to have food, face painting, artists, people speaking about hygiene, we have people donating body products; underwear, socks, and school supplies.”
