1st Step Behavioral Health Partners with The Addict’s Mom for New Scholarship Program
Pompano Beach, Florida (PRWEB) January 26, 2016 -- Recovery from drug or alcohol addiction is always possible, even for the addict who feels most hopeless, most adrift. While no addict is ever beyond the scope of rehabilitation, many choose not to receive the treatment they so desperately need—simply because they fear they cannot afford it. To combat this problem, 1st Step Behavioral Health has announced a strategic partnership with a support group called The Addict’s Mom. Through this new partnership, 1st Step Behavioral Health will be offering monthly scholarships to some of its clients.
“1st Step Behavioral Health is excited to announce our new partnership with The Addict’s Mom,” comments Gus Crocco, CEO and Clinical Director. “We are honored to offer The Addict’s Mom one scholarship bed on a monthly basis to one of their members, and hope this makes treatment more accessible to some of those who truly need it.”
1st Step Behavioral Health is a Joint Commission accredited substance abuse facility located in Pompano Beach, FL that offers all levels of care for substance abuse and dual diagnosis care. The organization is marked by its passion for turning the dream of recovery into a reality for its clients. “We are extremely honored to be given this opportunity from The Addict’s Mom to help so many families struggling with addiction,” Crocco muses. “Many of our addicts’ moms are in fact a part of the TAM community, and to broaden that reach through our scholarship program is truly an honor for 1st Step.”
Naz Andekian, 1st Step’s Director of Program Development, says the partnership is an exciting one. “TAM has proven to be an incredibly powerful organization with many incredible accomplishments over the years, including significant efforts made to change the perception of addiction,” he remarks. “This newly formed partnership will reach many families we did not have the ability to reach previously. Our scholarship program with TAM will potentially save many lives of addicts who do not have the resources to get quality care otherwise.”
Crocco hopes the individuals who receive these scholarships will be encouraged by the direct, personal care they receive. “1st Step Behavioral Health prides itself in offering the highest quality of care, with individualized caring treatment,” he says. “Our goal and mission at 1st Step is to assist those struggling with addiction to find a recovering identity and change the path of their life. We truly believe the greatest gift any person can receive is the gift of recovery.”
Concludes Crocco, “Once again we would like to thank The Addict’s Mom for this opportunity and cannot wait to join such an incredible organization on this mission to fight the disease of addiction!”
