2013 Mega Awards: Recognizing the Year's Best in Ancillary Revenues, Loyalty and Co-Brand Card Campaigns
Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) November 20, 2013 -- Celebrating the most effective campaigns and innovations for driving ancillary revenues, loyalty and co-brand card adoption, the 2013 Mega Awards and Gala sponsored by MasterCard recognized the companies that are pushing the boundaries of innovation within the airline, hotel and travel industries.
The annual ceremony, held in Vancouver on November 13, 2013, attracted a record number of entries from across all travel sectors that were judged on innovation and campaign results.

Representing brands from every corner of the globe, the 2013 Mega Award winners included:
• Loyalty Campaign of the Year: Carlson Rezidor, Fastest Way to a Free night from Club Carlson
• Loyalty Innovation of the Year: Emirates, Dubai E-gate immigration technology embedded in FFP card
• Ancillary Revenue Campaign of the Year: WorldSIM, Cross promotional campaign from boarding passes to in-flight magazines
• Ancillary Revenue Innovative Technology: Navitaire, New Skies Passenger Services Solution
• Co-branded Card Campaign of the Year: British Airways Executive Club prepaid card
• Co-branded Card Innovation of the Year: Virgin Australia, Velocity Global Wallet – dual FFP and prepaid card
A Lifetime Achievement Award was also presented to Rupert Duchesne, Group CEO of Aimia, for being at the forefront of loyalty, ancillary revenues and co-brand card innovation – all central to the Mega Event’s mission and purpose.

The 2013 Mega Awards were held in conjunction with the 9th annual 2013 Mega Event, sponsored by ICLP and Collinson Latitude. The 3-day conference focused on the next generation of travel and how, by utilizing SoLoMo (Social, Local and Mobile) strategies, airlines and travel brands can remain relevant and profitable in the era of the mobile-enabled traveller and increase consumer engagement, loyalty and revenues through these new channels.
