The Red Sox (seven World Series titles in 11 opportunities) will be playing in their third World Series since 2000 and are currently 2-0, beating the Cardinals and Colorado Rockies (2007, 4-0).
The 2013 World Series doesn't have the intriguing storylines that there has been in years passed, but it features the two best teams in the league this season. St. Louis finished the regular season with the best record in the NL and the Red Sox finished with the best record in the entire league.
