XClinical Integrates INCA, Medical Coding Software, With Its EDC System MARVIN
Munich, Germany (PRWEB) May 14, 2014 -- XClinical, a global provider of eClinical solutions, today announces the availability of INCA version 1.6, medical coding software featuring MedDRA and WHODrug dictionaries, including an automated web interface to EDC systems such as MARVIN.
INCA (“Integrated Coding Architecture”) is a web-based application that enables users to classify health related data such as patient medications and adverse events using an auto-encoder as well as a user-friendly manual coding, review and approval workflow. Previous versions of INCA were in use for many years at one of XClinical’s CRO partners.
As with all XClinical solutions, the INCA coding application is closely integrated with MARVIN, XClinical’s CDISC ODM certified eClinical platform featuring EDC, CDM, IWRS, CTMS, WebPRO, and SDTM conversion software modules. INCA may also be used with other EDC systems. “INCA provides an architecture for seamless integration with EDC systems, such as our own solution MARVIN, via web services. This saves time and costs by eliminating the data management efforts of importing terms and exporting codes,” says Dr. Philippe Verplancke, XClinical’s Managing Director. “In addition, coding-related queries are automatically transferred back to the investigator in the EDC system.”
