2014 Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge Again Being Tracked Live
Oklahoma City, OK (PRWEB) July 18, 2014 -- US Fleet Tracking again lends its live GPS tracking expertise to a high-level sporting event, as intrepid riders from around the globe gather once again July 20th in Key West, FL for the start of the 5th annual Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge™. This challenging event, named after a rallying call of the Sioux Indians, is designed to expand each rider’s spirit, testing physical, mental and emotional boundaries.
This year’s race honors the roots of the event, hosting the same start and finish destinations as the inaugural Challenge. Leaving from the southernmost point of the United States in Key West, Florida and traveling a new route, riders will cover a multitude of diverse grounds, experiencing America in a way few riders ever will. Moving through Canada, competitors move on to the “last frontier” of Alaska, with stunning scenery accompanying them to the finish line, and all the revelry that ensues upon completion.
This is the fourth year for US Fleet Tracking supporting the event, providing live GPS tracking to this unique competition. This year’s route will encompass a 7,600 mile course that ends in Homer, Alaska August 2nd.
Between Key West and Homer, participants will be required to stop at three checkpoints along the way. Selected for their strategic locations and the superior service they offer; the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge™ is proud to announce that the locations of the checkpoints for this year’s event in Lawton, OK, Great Falls, MT, and Prince George, BC. At approximately 2,000 miles apart, the checkpoints are a welcome pit stop along this grueling route.
The duration and distance provide adventure seekers and avid riders of the Challenge with what is deemed by many “the World’s Greatest Motorcycle Endurance Ride,” says Director of Operations Beth Durham.

Beyond just that however; the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge™ incorporates community spirit into every event. The Challenge is helping to create visibility for the deplorable conditions on the Pine Ridge Indian reservation and several of the riders have used the event name to help raise funds for other charities.
The theme of this year’s ride was chosen because the first-ever Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge™ took place in 2010 when hundreds of participants traveled 8,500 miles along a route-different from this year’s-between Key West and Homer. Approximately one-third of the participants crossed the finish line that year; leaving the rest feeling like they had “unfinished business.”
