2014 Official Visitors Guide Released for Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Area of North Carolina
Southern Pines, NC (PRWEB) January 15, 2014 -- The Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Area Convention & Visitors Bureau(CVB) is proud to announce the release of its Official 2014 Visitors Guide. The publication was created in conjunction with Compass Media, Gulf Shores, Alabama. Compass Media is an integrated marketing company focused on travel and tourism in the Southeast. “All of us at Compass Media were proud to partner with the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen area CVB on the production of their official 2014 visitor guide,” says Chad Kirtland, Compass Media Content Director. Working hand-in-hand with the CVB, we’ve been able to develop an attractive, engaging guide that helps promote the destination during this historic year.”
The 65-page guide, more of a magazine than brochure, is filled with information, interesting stories, events and maps about the towns and villages that make up the area called the Home of American Golf®. The 2014 guide is especially attractive this year for several reasons. Five different cover options are used to highlight different features, events and attractions throughout the year in Moore County, NC.
Additionally, the first-ever back-to-back U.S. Open Championships will be hosted by Pinehurst Resort in June. The guide includes extensive information about the history of golf in the area, stories about the renowned Pinehurst No.2 course where the men’s and women’s championships will be played. And, the stories are complemented by vivid, engaging photography promoting surrounding towns and their unique appeal – Southern Pines, Aberdeen, Cameron, Carthage to name a few.
Caleb Miles, CEO & President of the CVB, underscores the comprehensiveness of this year’s publication, “Visitors, whether they are making plans to attend the 2014 U.S. Open Championship, organize a meeting/event, or want to escape to the beautiful and relaxing Sandhills will find this Visitor’s Guide a “must have” resource. The teams at Compass Media and the CVB worked diligently to make this an engaging and visually appealing read while providing all the visitor content necessary to make a visit to the Home of American Golf extra special.”
A bonus for the guide’s advertisers is the additional exposure they will receive due to the increased distribution for the Opens at Raleigh-Durham airport, AAA offices, and official NC Welcome Centers. The CVB will also have a visitors’ information center within the gates of Pinehurst No. 2 to provide information to the 400,000+ guests expected during the two weeks of play.
The guide is handily accessed online at the CVB’s website http://www.homeofgolf.com/visitor-guide-order-form which makes it available virtually worldwide. The world of golf will be focused on North Carolina in June 2014 and the 2014 Official Visitors Guide will provide the tool to assist visitors and locals alike before, during, and after this historic event.
