2014 Summit Racing Show Car Series Schedule Announced

Tallmadge, OH (PRWEB) November 15, 2013 -- The 2014 Summit Racing Show Car Series schedule is now available. The Summit Racing Show Car Series is the place to see custom cars, trucks, motorcycles, hot rods, race vehicles, antique cars, and other vehicles at indoor shows from Houston, Texas to Calgary, Canada.

The Summit Racing Show Car Series will include an International Show Car Association (ISCA)-sanctioned competition. Contestants can also compete for several additional prestigious awards such as the Detroit AutoRama’s famed Ridler Award.

Genuine Hotrod Hardware is sponsoring two special events at select 2014 Summit Racing Show Car Series venues.

The Genuine Hotrod Hardware Pedal Car Challenge is a contest for high school and trade school students who live near each show venue. Genuine Hotrod Hardware supplies the replica pedal cars for the students to customize and display. The finished cars are judged for creativity, craftsmanship, overall appearance, and attention to detail. Awards are presented for the first-, second-, and third-place entries. The pedal cars are auctioned off during each shows’ charity program, with the proceeds going to each school’s automotive program. The Genuine Hotrod Hardware Pedal Car Challenge schedule will be posted soon at Autorama.com.

Legendary car customizer and Hollywood car builder Gene Winfield is taking his talents on the road for the Gene Winfield Chop Shop Presented by Genuine Hotrod Hardware. The display duplicates Winfield’s All-American Chop Shop at nine events on the Summit Racing Show Car Series tour. At each event, Gene works with a local car club to demonstrate the art of ‘chopping a top’ on a car over the course of the event.
