2015 Aquaponics Training Schedule Announced
Montello, WI (PRWEB) January 30, 2015 -- Nelson and Pade, Inc.®, the Most Trusted Name in Aquaponics™, has announced their 2015 training schedule. The purpose of these course offerings is to share science-based knowledge of aquaponics to help people get started and become successful in aquaponic food production. Aquaponics combines aquaculture (fish farming) and hydroponics (soilless plant culture) to raise fish and vegetables in a healthy and sustainable manner.
The Aquaponics Master Class offered by Nelson and Pade, Inc. is a comprehensive 3-day class that covers the science, methods, technology and economics of growing fish and vegetables in an integrated aquaponic system. Over the past few years, individuals from all 50 US states and over 70 countries have attended the Aquaponics Master Class to participate in hands-on learning and to gain knowledge they can apply in their own aquaponic ventures, whether for home food production, a social or mission project or a commercial operation.
The first Aquaponics Master Class of 2015 will take place in Camp Verde, AZ Feb 19-21. It will be hosted by The Fish’s Garden Aquaponic Farm and taught by the Nelson and Pade Team. This is a unique opportunity to meet hands-on aquaponic farmers, BJ and Cat Davis, owners of The Fish’s Garden.
The March 26-28, 2015 Master Class will be held at Nelson and Pade, Inc.’s brand new facilities in Montello, WI. This is an excellent opportunity to see the new, state-of-the-art, 14,000 sq. ft aquaponics greenhouse, which includes fully operational Commercial Clear Flow Aquaponic Systems® as well as the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Aquaponics Innovation Center. Also on site is the new hobby aquaponics greenhouse that showcases the variety of crops that can be grown in an aquaponic system.
The Master Class offerings, continue throughout 2015, with classes offered May 7-9, June 11-13, July 23-25, September 17-19, October 22-24 and December 3-5.

Nelson and Pade, Inc. ®, in a partnership with the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point (UWSP), offers Master Class attendees the opportunity to earn undergraduate and graduate credit through an accredited university, the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. The credit is transferable to other colleges and Universities.
Another excellent learning opportunity is offered through a partnership between UWSP’s Continuing Education program, Department of Biology and Northern Aquaculture Demonstration Facility have partnered with Nelson and Pade Inc. to offer a full semester course: Introduction to Aquaponics. It is available as either a two credit or three credit course. All lectures and discussions take place online. The three credit option includes a 3-day lab session at Nelson and Pade, Inc. ®'s demonstration greenhouse in Montello, WI.
For those looking for an immersion learning experience, Nelson and Pade, Inc. ® offers the Extended Stay Learning Program (ESLP) in which participants spend 1, 2 or 3 weeks learning the daily operation of a hobby or commercial aquaponic system at Nelson and Pade, Inc.’s campus. Nelson and Pade, Inc. ®'s ESLP allows individuals to learn and work in a real-aquaponic greenhouse setting, doing everything involved from daily operations to troubleshooting. Each attendee starts out job-shadowing and, as skills are developed and knowledge is gained, the attendees have the opportunity to demonstrate what they've learned through hands-on application.
