2015 Arena Pro Series at Charlotte to Use Backstroke Start Devices
Loveland, CO (PRWEB) April 29, 2015 -- Colorado Time Systems, a PlayCore company, is pleased to participate in the 2015 Arena Pro Series at Charlotte by providing backstroke start devices to be used in the competition, as well as staff on hand to help educate the athletes and officials on their use.
"The backstroke start devices have gained recognition over the past few months, and have been used in several high level competitions," said Dr. Anita Sayed, PlayCore Senior Vice President and Colorado Time Systems' General Manager. "We are looking forward to seeing the times for this meet and enhancing the athlete experience."
During the recent Four Corners Senior Sectionals in Austin, the average time drop for the top 32 swimmers were recorded and received by the athletes with amazement. Average time reductions were: Women's 200 ~ -1.22 sec, Women's 100 ~ -.42 sec, Men's 200 ~ -.45 sec, and Men's 100 ~ -1.95 sec; making for a really fun event.
Colorado Time Systems' backstroke start device was designed to reduce slips on the wall and improve start reaction times for backstroke swimmers. The units automatically retract up and out of the water after the swimmer leaves the wall, which eliminates the chance of an inaccurate touch on the touchpad during the race.
