2015 USA Volleyball Girls’ And Boys' Junior Nationals To Set Participation Records On Sport Court® Surfaces
Salt Lake City, Utah (PRWEB) June 23, 2015 -- When more than 15,000 girls volleyball players ages 12 to 18 descend on New Orleans beginning today for the 2015 USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Championships (GJNC) all matches will played on Sport Court® playing surfaces that have transformed the sport of volleyball to allow for concurrent match play in a convention center setting.
Sport Court will also install two custom green, purple and yellow Mardi Gras-themed championship courts at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans as part of record GJNC total of 84 Sport Court Maple Select courts. The USA Volleyball GJNC configuration featuring Sport Court will transform the cavernous convention center into a hub of competitive volleyball for more than 6,000 players on over 1,200 teams and a cumulative total of 30,000 spectators.
Adding to the summer of 2015 USA Volleyball takeover, the Boy’s Junior National Championships will also be played on Sport Court surfaces beginning Sunday, June 28 at Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, OH with an estimated nearly 2,500 matches to be played by more than 5,000 players on over 500 teams representing a record level of participation and a 17% increase from the 2014 championships.
