Atrion Named One of Rhode Island’s “Best Places to Work” For Seventh Straight Year
Warwick, Rhode Island (PRWEB) June 24, 2016 -- In business, a company’s culture and work environment is as vital to its success as any other facet of an organization. Not only do engaged, happy employees contribute to a pleasant workplace atmosphere, they are also often the most productive an efficient workers.
In fact, recent studies have shown that disengaged employees produce 60 percent more errors than their engaged counterparts, while businesses with more engaged employees received 100 percent more job applications than those with a culture of disengagement.
With all of these factors in mind—and as a company that prides itself on people and relationships—Atrion has always viewed a positive work environment as a crucial part of its success. And now, for the seventh consecutive year, the IT services company has made Providence Business News’ (PBN) list of “Best Place to Work” in the Large Employer category—ranking seventh in this group—which includes organizations employing 150 to 499 employees. Companies were judged based on confidential surveys of employees and management reports compiled by Best Companies Group.
“We are honored to be recognized for the seventh year in a row as one of the “best places to work” in Rhode Island,” said Atrion CEO Tim Hebert. “This recognition is a wonderful validator for us, as we work every day to create a strong, healthy, vibrant culture and collaborative work environment for our employees.”
Rather than working to create a positive work environment in an abstract way, Atrion relies on regular employee feedback to help guide it. Surveys are distributed internally to employees on a monthly basis, and responses are examined carefully by the company’s leaders. Using that data as a roadmap, the company makes prudent adjustments to ensure employee morale remains high. That systematic, intentional process has played a large role in helping Atrion make PBN’s list for seven consecutive years.
“The most productive, successful employees are the ones who love where they work and approach each day full of passion and optimism,” Hebert explained. “At Atrion, providing our employees with a top 1 percent work environment is as much a part of our DNA and history as providing the ultimate client experience. And in the spirit of continuous improvement, we continue to work tirelessly to create a workplace where our employees can grow and thrive.”
