This year the Keynote Speaker at the Pulmonary Horizons 3rd Annual COPD Conference is Margo Bailey, PhD, MPA, Office of Assistant Secretary, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Interact and engage with thought leaders from UnitedHealth Group, Cigna Healthcare, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Deputy Undersecretary Health, Community Care, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and a host of CEOs, CNOs, CMOs, physicians, case managers, social workers, pharmacists, nurses, respiratory therapists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, from hospitals and health systems and health plans from throughout the country.

The COPD Coordinator/Navigator Workshop and Spirometry Workshop is scheduled for Friday August 12th for nurses, case managers, respiratory therapists, nurse practitioners, physicians, social workers and other allied health professionals.

The main sessions on Saturday and Sunday are ideal for administrative and clinical professionals to attend.

The lineup of speakers and attendees comprises a great group of professionals who bring various perspectives to help complete the overall framework for effective program development for patients with COPD. "We are excited and look forward to an engaging and exciting event," said Brian Carlin, MD.

The Pulmonary Horizons COPD Conference helps to enhance the dialogue, knowledge and eliminate barriers between all stakeholders to contribute to the most comprehensive and efficient learning, to improve the overall care of patients with COPD.

Speakers, participants and patients engage in effective dialogue to uncover new knowledge to support learning based on practical patient centered recommendations that lead to new or enhanced programs and processes that help improve the screening, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients, which leads to improved health outcomes and cost reduction.
