High Tech Rochester Grad, CaterTrax, Consistently Growing 12 Years Later
Rochester, NY (PRWEB) November 08, 2016 -- CaterTrax was recognized with a 2016 Rochester Chamber Top 100 Award, marking the second consecutive year the software as a service company was recognized amongst the fastest growing privately-owned companies in the Greater Rochester region. The company has experienced steady double digit growth since its inception over a decade ago, and climbed two spots from last year, ranking 82nd on the 2016 Rochester Chamber Top 100 list.
CaterTrax, a national leader in the non-commercial catering management software industry, is a product of four generations in the Rochester restaurant business. Co-Founders Rich Rund and Dan Welch started developing the software as a way to manage orders and production at their family’s catering operation, Rund’s Catering. Realizing the possibilities, they moved into their first office space at High Tech Rochester (HTR) in 2004. HTR is a nonprofit whose mission is to be a catalyst for innovators and entrepreneurs who plan to build high-growth businesses. Since graduating from HTR, CaterTrax has experienced continued growth, with support from all those involved in growing the company’s promising journey.
“It is an exciting time for CaterTrax. We are well positioned for some great opportunities as we move to the next phase of growth and it’s a time to reflect on a whole being greater than the sum of its parts. The Rochester Chamber Top 100 represents 100 parts of our community that make Rochester a great place to grow and we’re honored to be a part of that. The 18 talented teams that make up CaterTrax and their dedication to our vision is what makes us continue to grow and is truly what earned us this recognition,” shared Rich Rund, co-founder and chief executive officer.
Deeply rooted in Rochester, CaterTrax is excited to be a part of the city’s promising downtown growth. CaterTrax is located in the heart of NOTA in a growing space in the Village Gate Square which itself is in the midst of expanding to welcome businesses into a revitalizing downtown.
“We always say that our success is first and foremost attributed to our people. We have been incredibly fortunate to live in a city that breeds as well as attracts hungry, smart, and talented people that are the foundation of our company’s success. Rochester is a great place to live, work, and play making it an ideal place to grow a business.
