2016 iaedp™ Symposium Offers World-Class Keynote Presentations
Pekin, IL (PRWEB) January 18, 2016 -- The International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp) Foundation’s 2016 Symposium, slated for February 17 – 21, 2016 at the Omni on Amelia Island, Florida, features keynote speakers who are world-class medical experts in the treatment of eating disorders.
“Our mission is to offer the leading authorities in research and treatment of eating disorders and co-occurring addictions with the intent to generate greater understanding among professionals and promote effective treatment for patients,” said Bonnie Harken, Managing Director at The iaedp Foundation.

During the five-day symposium, the keynote speaker line-up will provide their presentations to the more than 600 expected to attend this year’s conference. The six keynote speakers and their presentations include:
1. S. Roy Erlichman, PhD kicks off the 2016 iaedp Symposium with the presentation “Mission Impossible: Remaining Hopeful When the Case Is Not” on Thurs., February 18 during the opening lunch.
2. Rachel Yehuda, PhD presents “Epigenics: How Trauma and PTSD Affect DNA” on Fri., February 19 as the morning keynote.
3. Margo Maine, PhD offers “It’s Time to Talk about It! Invisible Women: Treating Eating Disorders at Midlife and Beyond” during the Fri., February 19 lunch keynote.
4. Francine Lapides, MFT presents “Working Implicitly in Psychotherapy: What Decades of Neuroscience Study Has Taught Me about Being a Psychotherapist” during the Fri., February 19 afternoon keynote.
5. Steven Porges, PhD gives the keynote “Eating Disorders Through the Lens of the Polyvagal Theory” as the Sat., February 20 keynote presentation.
6. Mary Bellofatto, MA closes the keynote addresses with “Renewing Your Passion, Protection from Burn-Out and Compassion Fatigue” on Sun., February 21.
