2016 Newbery and Caldecott Medal Winners Belong to Recorded Books, Inc.

The John Newbery Medal is awarded for the most outstanding contribution to children’s literature. Finding Winnie: The True Story of the World’s Most Famous Bear by Lindsay Mattick is the winner of this year’s Caldecott Medal. Before Winnie-the-Pooh, there was a real bear named Winnie, and this is the true story of that remarkable bear. The Randolph Caldecott Medal is awarded for the most distinguished American picture book for children.
