Keystone Partners celebrates its 35th anniversary pioneering and providing superior outplacement services to thousands of companies across the Northeast.
“It is an incredibly humble feeling to know that the work Keystone Partners has done for 35 years has touched the lives of so many professionals,” said Elaine Varelas, Managing Partner of Keystone Partners, who joined the firm in 1987. “As the needs of companies and candidates continue to evolve, so does Keystone Partners. We are proud to offer the best HR tech solutions for our candidates, and superior high-touch service offerings – enabling organizations to maintain their high quality brand, while helping candidates find jobs better or equal to those they left.”
Dave Melville, Founder and Chairman of leading recruitment firm, WinterWyman, recognized the need to offer effective career transition services to employees who had been laid off. In 1982, he founded Keystone Partners and embarked on the mission to consult with companies who had to separate employees, as well as support new job seekers who were looking to regain employment.
Keystone’s growth continued in the relatively new field of outplacement, as organizations realized the benefits of using the firm’s expertise to plan a separation, protect its brand, reduce unemployment costs, and provide support to valued employees as they searched for employment.
By 1987 the need to expand geographically was clear. Keystone partnered with three other vanguards in outplacement to co-found Career Partners International, LLC (CPI), to consult with employers and provide the best possible outcomes to employees around the world. Today, CPI is the most respected and largest global provider of career management services with over 300 locations.
Over the years, Keystone continued to flourish and added Camden Consulting Group in 1996, which leveraged the Company’s superior reputation in coaching executives through transitions to strengthen management and leadership skills. In 1999, Essex Partners was launched to provide services specifically tailored for senior executives.
Today, Keystone Partners works with organizations across the Northeast and around the world, through its equity ownership of CPI, to provide outplacement and coaching services to some of the most prestigious companies regionally, nationally, and around the globe. In 2016, Keystone Partners was named one of the “Top Places to Work in Massachusetts” by the Boston Globe, for the fourth year, and was recently named, “Best Lawyer Outplacement Service” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.
“Keystone Partners offers a total solution to companies looking for superior leadership development, coaching and career management support,” said Ralph Roberto, President of Keystone Partners. “Over the last three and a half decades we have helped thousands of companies and hundreds of thousands of candidates navigate the changing career landscape. We look forward to continue providing superior services that help both organizations and their people reach their full potential, while staying consistent with our core values of integrity, respect, professionalism and ethical behavior.”
“Keystone is a trusted partner,” said Joy Curtis Senior Vice President, Human Resources of Cambridge Health Alliance. “They have helped us manage difficult transitions with compassion and dignity for all. Their hands-on approach, professionalism and understanding of our culture have been integral to helping us provide a high level of support to impacted team members, which mirrors our organization’s values.”
