2017 “Running of the Santas” Mega Beer, Food, and Music Festival Returns to Center City and Northern Liberties, Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (PRWEB) December 01, 2017 -- Imagine thousands of people from around the world decked out in the most insane and creative Christmas holiday costumes imaginable, all partaking in the hottest and largest seasonal holiday event to ever hit the streets of Philadelphia. This will be the scene on Saturday, December 9, 2017, when the “Running of the Santas” returns to Philadelphia.
“Running of the Santas” is the premier holiday season event which started in 1998 in the streets of Philadelphia when 40 colleagues decided to suit up in holiday décor and go bar hopping.
Last year’s Philadelphia event attracted more than 8,000 revelers, and organizers of the 2017 “Running of the Santas” are predicting a record 10,000 party-goers this year. Philadelphia’s signature holiday extravaganza will kick off at 10 am at The Field House (“The South Pole”) located at 1150 Filbert Street, where event participants will enjoy live bands and DJs inside the The Field House and outside on Filbert Street. Simultaneously, The Electric Factory Concert Venue (“The North Pole”) located at 421 N. 7th Street will open at 11 am with Live Bands and DJs inside the concert hall and outside in the parking lot. The 5 pm “fun run” will start and end at the Electric Factory.
The day-long festivities will conclude with a huge concert and party at both locations which will include performances by Split Decision, LeCompt, Secret Service Band, B Street Band, Sensational Soul Cruisers, plus ten other great acts in addition to a national touring act that will be announced at the Electric Factory. Event sponsors will also host costume contests which will include the memorable “Hottest Mrs. Claus” awards.
