2018 iaedp™ Symposium Offers “Spring Break” that Combines Learning and Tradition
Pekin, IL (PRWEB) October 10, 2017 -- Spring break usually is the time for getting away from the classroom or work and relaxing. The iaedp Symposium, the annual conference event presented by the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals Foundation, (iaedp.com), allows eating disorder treatment professionals to take advantage of time off to learn and network in a vacation-like setting.
When the 2018 iaedp™ Symposium officially opens on March 22 in Orlando, Florida, it will begin as it has for the past 31 years -- with the traditional Presentation of the Colors. And like years past, this will be followed by the iaedp International Flag Procession, honoring the professionals who come together each year to advance learning, share groundbreaking information and engage with the world’s most renowned and committed eating disorders professionals.
Scheduled through March 25, the 2018 iaedp™ Symposium runs over a four-day period and features more than 60 presentations and workshops, an internationally renowned art competition, networking events that involve the 800 expected attendees and the opportunity to meet eating disorder treatment professionals from all around the globe.
The site of the iaedp™ Symposium, the Omni at ChampionsGate, is surrounded by 36 holes of championship golf, the Leadbetter Golf Academy World Headquarters and 15 acres of recreation. Symposium attendees can choose to relax at the on-site spa, dine in one of the seven restaurants or enjoy 15 acres of pools and recreation activities, including an 850-foot lazy river. The resort also offers complimentary access to area attractions like Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and SeaWorld.
“As we plan and develop the Symposium event, it is our goal to provide an exciting, quality program that is applicable to the needs of our member professionals when working with patients,” said Bonnie Harken, Managing Director at the iaedp™ Foundation. “Another goal, however, has to do with the professional’s experience at the conference. We select locations that provide a vacation-like environment.”
Early registration for the 2018 iaedp™ Symposium opens on October XX, 2017. Visit iaedp.com (iaedp.com) for more information.
