Nashville, TN (PRWEB) October 01, 2013 -- CCA, America's leader in partnership corrections, is pleased to announce its 22nd Annual Chairman's Charity Golf Classic reached new heights in fundraising.
The 2013 tournament on September 26 at the Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, Tennessee, generated more than $352,750 in donations. It represents the most money ever raised in the event's 22 year history.
"We are humbled by the generosity of our friends and colleagues who continue to support us and increase their level of giving year after year," said Tony Grande, CCA Chief Development Officer. "Their involvement in this annual event enables us to support agencies making a real difference in our communities."
Through the CCA Charitable Fund, in partnership with The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, proceeds from the Golf Classic will help support 25 regional non-profits.
The 2013 charitable recipients are:
Against the Grain Inc.; Aphesis House; Avalon Center; Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee; CASA, Inc.; Exchange Club Family Center; Fannie Battle Day Home; Free for Life International; Good Neighbor Foundation; HUGGS for Inspirational Men and Women; Magdalene, Inc.; Men of Valor; Miriam's Promise; Monroe Harding, Inc.; Next Door; Project Return, Inc.; Rejoice Ministries; Safe Haven Family Shelter; Salama Urban Ministries; Sexual Assault Center; TN Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence; Tennessee Immigrant & Refugee Rights Coalition; You Have the Power; YWCA of Nashville and Middle Tennessee.
"These recipient agencies align with our giving mission of serving former offenders, victims of crime and underprivileged youth," said Grande. "It is our hope these funds will go a long way to giving many individuals the opportunity to overcome challenges and succeed."
The United Way of Middle Tennessee and the CCA Assist Fund will also receive proceeds from the event.
