26th Annual Fire Retardancy Conference to Draw Experts from Around The World
(PRWEB) February 11, 2015 -- BCC Research (http://www.bccresearch.com) has opened registration for the 26th Annual Conference on Recent Advances in Flame Retardancy of Polymeric Materials, which is the premier event of its type in the United States. Specifically for scientists and other technical specialists, this conference provides insight into recent innovations in the flame retardancy industry, presented by a blend of experts from both government/academia and the commercial/industrial sectors.
Some of the prominent speakers to be present at this year’s conference include Charles Wilkie, Conference Chairman, Marquette University); Dr. Matthew S. Blais (Fire Technology Department, Southwest Texas Research Institute, San Antonio); Marshall Moore (Great Lakes Solutions); and John N. Harris (Associate Technical Fellow, Thermoplastics Lead Engineer, Boeing Research & Technology) presenting more than 40 informative sessions on topics including “Material Selection Influence on the Flammability of Upholstered Furniture,” “Reformulating Targeted Materials: How This Impacts Aerospace OEMs”, and “Comparative Burn of Flat Panel Televisions from United States, Mexican and Brazilian Markets.”
The “Flame Conference,” as it is called, will bring together industry professionals from around the world and will offer excellent networking opportunities within an intense learning environment. Attendees will include members of the academic community as well as professionals involved with the technological advancement and commercial application of flame retardant polymeric materials such as research scientists, chemists, design engineers, business development executives, product development professionals, product marketing professionals with a technical background, business strategists, and consultants.
“This conference gathers very well-known people working in the flame retardancy fields,” said one of last year’s attendees. “If you want to know about the latest breakthroughs in flame retardant research, Flame is the conference to attend,” added another.
The 2015 Flame Conference is scheduled to be held from May 17th to 20th, 2015 in Stamford, Connecticut, USA. A one-day Short Course on May 17th will acquaint industry newcomers with the evaluation and commercial applications of flame retardants. This will be followed by the main conference from May 18th to 20th consisting of sessions focused on areas such as foams and fabrics, nanocomposites, and new technology research.
BCC Research’s report on Flame Retardant Chemicals is scheduled to be updated in April 2015. This report aids in strategic planning for companies participating in the FR industry as suppliers, manufacturers, or research and development professionals, as well as academia.
