34% of Obese Americans are a Threat to National Security Says Health Fitness Revolution Founder

In these trying, perilous times, strengthening America's fitness is more important than ever. The presidential candidates have declared that national security is the most important issue facing the US, yet they have not done enough to address health and fitness, both of which are essential to the safety and security of this nation. To hold them accountable, Health Fitness Revolution started ranking the fitness of presidential candidates and is challenging the presidential hopefuls to better promote physical fitness in order to motivate Americans and their families to be healthy and fit, so that the United States can be more secure.
Some presidential candidates, such as Hillary Clinton, Jeb Bush, Martin O'Malley, Rand Paul, and even Chris Christie, deserve praise for focusing on their personal fitness. "On the other hand, I am surprised that Donald Trump, who is constantly raging about national security, has not done enough to promote fitness as a way to protect our nation. If Trump becomes president he wants to put his wife in charge of fitness in the United States. What qualification does she have to be in charge of one of the most important aspects of our security at this critical moment in time?" says Becic.
"Physical fitness improves national security because it makes people stronger, more confident, and less vulnerable to irrational fears. A fit person can protect their family more efficiently because they will have enough strength, energy, and confidence to manage and respond to a dangerous situation such as a terrorist attack. While we sit on our couches our ISIS enemies train daily in bootcamps. In a physically fit America, terrorist threats would be minimized," continues Becic.
Samir Becic believes America needs to be physically stronger as a nation: "Americans are so consumed by fears of terrorist attacks because they are not confident in their physical strength. America is the greatest nation in the world and no terrorist can take that away! But for that to continue, citizens need to be more physically fit and mentally strong. We are entering a new world. Everyone who is physically active and exercises should motivate their family and friends to do the same. Instead of being self-indulgent and thinking only about ourselves, we need to think of our friends, our neighbors, and our society."
Samir thinks that instead of obsessing over which Kardashian has the best butt, Americans should worry about working out their own.
This is his call to action. Every American should strive to do:
- 50 pushups
- 100 crunches
- 100 squats
- Walk a minimum of five miles per week
- Drink at least half a gallon of water a day
- Incorporate more natural foods into your diet
"I know I am asking for a lot, but with time a majority of Americans can accomplish that. The key is to start now.
