3D-P Releases Endpoint Locator to Track and Monitor Your Mine Network Mobile Assets Easily
Calgary, AB (PRWEB) May 15, 2014 -- 3D‐P, a leading provider of connected technology products for the mining industry, is pleased to announce the release a new software product called Endpoint Locator to advance inventory tracking of its Intelligent Endpoint™ (IEP) at the CIM 2014 Convention in Vancouver, Canada (Booth #339). Endpoint Locator provides the ability to quickly ascertain the near real-time location of Intelligent Endpoint™ network assets against the backdrop of the most recent map of your mine.
By understanding where particular equipment is, you can track your mobile assets as they transverse the mine site, and make more informed decisions to improve the reliability and support of your network. As well, you are able to proactively identify basic issues with network coverage as the mine topology changes.
Endpoint Locator’s tracking works with any 3D-P IEP device with integrated GPS, but non-GPS equipped IEPs can also be identified for a complete view of your network devices. As well, Endpoint Locator software will automatically provide software updates to all Intelligent Endpoint™.
Endpoint Locator communicates with each endpoint periodically to retrieve the device’s GPS information, balancing the need for regular updated information with the desire to minimize the amount of additional traffic placed on the network, and can be safely used on either MotoMesh or 802.11 networks.
