3GC Group provided a complete end-to-end converged networking solution for Crothall Healthcare’s new 80,000 square foot facility in Manteca, CA. The solution involved implementing the core network, Converged Physical Electronic Security (CEPS) and unified communications. The core network is comprised of network security, routing/switching infrastructure and wireless. CEPS ensures that separate security related technologies such as IP Video Surveillance, Access Control systems and Intrusion Detection Systems are optimized, reliable and secure on a core data network. Unified communications (UC) consists of the PBX infrastructure and PA system.
Multiple Technology Solution
3GC Group has incorporated multiple technologies in order to bring together a seamless converged solution for Crothall. 3GC provided a complete ShoreTel phone system that integrates with the Valcom PA system. For Converged Electronic Physical Security (CEPS), 3GC installed a 360 degree IP camera system from Sony on the OnSSI platform, in order to minimize the total number of cameras required. Additionally, 3GC incorporated Open Options for NAC, pin and card systems for door control and physical security zones. For the intrusion detection solution, 3GC selected Bosch alarms. For core infrastructure, Fortinet was chosen for UTM (Unified Threat Management), firewall and wireless (WiFi) technologies. Finally, 3GC deployed Juniper Networks as the main solution for all of Crothall’s core network switching needs.
