3M, Craft & Hobby Association Partner to Bring Social Learning Experiences to Creativation
Elmwood Park, New Jersey (PRWEB) December 13, 2016 -- 3M has partnered with the Craft & Hobby Association (CHA) as a sponsor for Creativation, CHA’s premier creative arts industry event taking place January 21-23, 2017 at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, AZ. The partnership brings interactive experiences to the new creative destination where the global creative community goes to conduct business, exchange ideas and drive the industry forward.
“We are very excited to sponsor the new 2017 Creativation trade event,” says Jeffrey Birkins, Key Accounts Sales Manager at 3M. “Creativation is the place where we can connect with our consumers in creative ways. We are excited to see how the rebranding of the event and new venue impacts the craft world!”
For the first time, Creativation will have a splatter room, sponsored in part by Pinspiration and DecoArt, where creative industry professionals will experience the art of throwing paint on canvas, inspired by abstract painter Jackson Pollock. Attendees will learn new techniques and achieve awesome designs by using 3M’s ScotchBlue™ Painter’s Tapes to create patterns on the canvas prior to splatter painting. Attendees will dress in 3M’s Paint Coveralls and Goggles to protect their clothes from the paint.
In addition, following the trend of the Post-it ® Note Wars, 3M will make a giant Post-it® Note mural of the new Creativation brand for attendees to see as they check-in at the main registration area.
“3M’s products and ideas will generate a new and fun social learning experience for our industry’s retailers at Creativation,” said Nadine Schwartz, Director of Sales & Sponsorships at CHA. “3M has been an incredible partner for many years and we’re happy to continue the relationship in the new era of our annual trade event.”
3M’s booth will feature “A Day in The Life” of a maker showcasing a wide array of many innovative 3M products used in his/her craft room, her workshop and in her living room. The company will demo its new Scotch “Create” line of products and Expressions Tapes, demo design techniques showcasing the new ScotchBlue™ PLATINUM Painter’s Tape, and display finished projects with its outstanding Command® and Scotch ® Mounting Products.
On Friday, January 20, 3M will host a hands-on “Emoji Baby Shower” workshop featuring our Scotch® Create and Expressions products. In the workshop, attendees will create a paper invitation, party décor, and a party favor. 3M will also have a sweets table display to help bring the party to life, and a photo booth that promotes sharing on social media!
“Our goal at this year’s Creativation show is to showcase a much broader array of 3M products that makers love and share new ideas for their creations,” says Birkins. “3M is excited to connect with both new users and our most loyal customer so be sure to come see us at booth #1123.”
