3rd Annual Drawing Contest Kick-off Party, Hosted by Bill Howe Plumbing and the American Heart Association Success
San DIego, CA (PRWEB) January 30, 2014 -- The San Diego plumber, Bill Howe, and the American Heart Association teamed up again for the third time to host the “Howe” Healthy is Your Heart Drawing Contest. The contest spans three months and the San Diego plumbing company celebrated the kick-off party at a new location in the local neighborhood. On Sunday, January 26, Bill Howe Plumbing and the American Heart Association invited families to the Serra Mesa-Kearny Mesa Library to learn heart healthy tips, spin the prize wheel and enter the drawing contest early.
The “Howe” Healthy is Your Heart Drawing Contest enters into its fourth year in the San Diego community to help educate families about heart disease and stroke, the number one killer in San Diego. Officially launching on February 1 and ending on April 4, Bill Howe Plumbing’s sponsorship of the popular drawing contest culminates at the annual American Heart Association’s Heart Beach Ball held at the Hotel Del Coronado. The San Diego plumbing company gives away $750 in Toys R Us gift cards to the Grand Prize Winner, age category winners and a “Facebook Favorite” winner. The contest is open to all San Diego residents’ children ages 5-12, free to enter and the Grand Prize Winner also receives and exclusive invitation for them and their family to attend the Heart Ball.
In previous years, the “Howe” Healthy is Your Heart Drawing Contest Kick-off Party was held at the New Children’s Museum. The events have always been a great success and helped to increase the awareness of heart health and the American Heart Association. For the 2014 kick-off party, Bill Howe Plumbing wanted to host a new community and held the event in their own neighborhood of Serra Mesa. “Since we recently moved into the area, we wanted to welcome our neighbors and invite them to this special event,” said Tina Howe, Vice President of Bill Howe Plumbing, Inc. “It was great to meet new San Diego residents and their families and host a fun and heart healthy educational day.”
Bill Howe Plumbing set up the party in the Community Room of the Serra Mesa-Kearney Mesa Library with drawing stations, a prize wheel; a special educational “heart health” corner with Dr. El Said of Rady Children’s Hospital and even had a special guest entertainer, Danielle the Clown. Guests received goodie bags, prizes, fun balloon animals and spent the afternoon drawing and learning about healthy hearts. After all, said Tina Howe, “healthy hearts and healthy pipes make happy homes.”
