420TV Joins Forces With Hip-Hop Artist Trae Tha Truth To Continue His Original Animated Comedy Series
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (PRWEB) January 16, 2018 -- 420TV, the premium cannabis news, entertainment and lifestyle VOD channel set to launch in early 2018, has announced a programming deal with hip-hop recording artist Trae tha Truth to develop 10 all-new episodes of the original animated comedy series based loosely on the rapper’s own life. 420TV has also acquired the library of 30 existing episodes.
“Trae tha Truth,” produced by White Oak Music Group, follows the hilarious adventures of Trae as he dispenses his unique brand of comedy and wisdom to a clique of colorful insiders – Grey, Jay’ton, Boss, Purpa and Birdfeed. The series is voiced by Trae, along with help from his influencer friends and fellow rappers. Among the VIP guest voices are Snoop Dogg, Marlon Wayans, Riff Raff, Omar Epps and B-Real.

Trae tha Truth is a musician, father, activist and humanitarian. He is a street rapper whose music is often inspired by the experiences of the disenfranchised, which is rooted in the broken roads of the ghetto. For his role as a civic leader, Trae was the first rapper in Texas to be given an official holiday by the City of Houston, which proclaimed July 22 “Trae Day” in 2008. Among other efforts, he has founded a nonprofit organization, helped counsel inmates and sponsored at-risk high school students and more. Although his music has earned him numerous accolades, Trae has only ever viewed rap as another way for him to help people.
“Trae tha Truth” is slated to debut on 420TV in early summer 2018.
While 420TV will launch on 420TV.com and its mobile applications, it will quickly expand to other devices and through OWNZONES’ worldwide multi-platform distribution network.
