As part of Hispanic Heritage Month, more than 350 Latino low-income families will attend an all-day conference on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Cal State University Los Angeles (CSULA), hosted by New Economics for Women (NEW) in partnership with the California Council on Economic Education (CCEE).

The 4th Annual CREATE Family Conference will provide over 350 families a bilingual and bi-cultural experience. Age appropriate conference workshops and sessions will be offered on financial intelligence, leadership and civic engagement and, college bound workshops for the entire family.
Statement from Supervisor Hilda Solis who will be in attendance: “The need to give families the advocacy tools they require has never been more important. We are at a critical time where the entire family needs to be engaged and active in their community. Understanding how to protect their assets, and obtain the best education for their children, sets the foundation for happier and healthier families.”
